Old Raven House residents embarked on a mesmerising journey to West Green House Gardens to witness the twinkling illuminations. The gardens came alive with the magic of the season, creating a breathtaking spectacle that left residents enchanted and filled with the festive spirit.
The aroma of Christmas filled the air as many of our residents took a delightful trip down memory lane. Together, they crafted their own Christmas puddings, measuring, mixing, chopping, and soaking ingredients. The result? Enough puddings to grace our Christmas Day celebrations, bringing another homemade touch to the holiday feasts.
Christmas officially kicked off with a trip to Keydell Nurseries for a “Winter Woodland Walk.” Despite the name, this delightful experience unfolded indoors, allowing residents to stroll through enchanting Christmas scenes. Smiles, laughter, and awe-filled moments were shared as residents got up close with reindeers, donkeys, and the magic of the season.
Old Raven House embraced the festive spirit in full force on National Christmas Jumper Day. Staff and residents donned their most cheerful Christmas wear, providing plenty of opportunities for festive selfies. The day was marked by the collective effort of decorating three Christmas trees, turning the home into a festive wonderland filled with baubles and tinsel.
The culmination of the day’s festive celebrations took place with a cozy movie night featuring the timeless classic, “White Christmas.” Residents settled down to enjoy the heartwarming film, creating a perfect ending to a day filled with joy, camaraderie, and the magic of the season.
