A Home in Hook for Over 500 Years

Some places simply feel like home the moment you walk in. Old Raven House has been part of the village of Hook since the 1500s, and everything about it – the timber beams, the herringbone brickwork, the cottage garden, the unhurried pace of the day – has had five centuries to settle into itself.
Today it is a care home for 43 older people, and the welcome is the same one this old coaching inn has always offered: come in, sit down, and be looked after.
Old Raven House feels like a family environment, with familiar faces and lots of laughter.

Where we are
A Care Home in the Village of Hook
Old Raven House Care Home stands on London Road in Hook, Hampshire, less than half a mile from the centre of the village. We are part of village life here, not a development on the edge of it – walking distance from the shops and the station, with familiar faces passing the gate every day.
For families comparing care homes in Hook and the surrounding villages, that matters. Living at Old Raven House means living somewhere, in a village with a name and a story, rather than being placed somewhere.

Our home & grounds
A Grade II Listed Home with Real Character
Old Raven House is a Grade II listed, timber-framed former coaching inn. Character like this cannot be built; it can only be inherited. The original reception rooms are warm and full of period detail, the gardens bloom through the summer, and a modern wing adds comfort without losing the feel of the house.
