Recently, residents at Old Raven House Care Home in Hook, Hampshire, celebrated National Hug a Bear Day. A lovely metre-tall teddy arrived at the home to help residents mark the occasion. At the start of the day, we held a vote to name the bear.
After many brilliant suggestions, it was the name ‘Bernard’ that received the most votes. Bernard then spent the rest of the day being embraced and spreading warmth and love around the home. Bernard has now found a permanent home at Old Raven House with one of our lady residents!
